The Megaware SkegGuard is an inexpensive solution to replace or repair a broken or damaged skeg. You can install a SkegGuard on a new or broken skeg with as little as 2-3 inches of the upper skeg remaining. Easily slide the SkegGuard over the skeg, tap it into place and install the mounting hardware. No welding is needed. Each kit comes with self-locking mounting hardware and hex wrenches. Megaware SkegGuard Engineering
The Megaware SkegGuard conforms to the skeg, ensuring no discernable drag or compromise in the performance of your motor. The SkegGuard is manufactured using 18 gauge marine-grade 316 stainless steel that can withstand damage and abrasion from rocks and debris. The design features a 3mm thick lower wear plate to protect against accidental ramp dragging and a drain hole to allow water and fluids to escape preventing corrosion and freezing.
The SkegGuard’s mirror-polished finish creates a customized look and compliments the overall appearance of your boat and motor.
Megaware SkegGuard is available for most outboard and Inboard/Outboard (I/O) or Sterndrive engines, including Evinrude, Johnson, Honda, Mercury, Mercruiser, Mariner, Nissan, OMC, Tohatsu, Suzuki, Volvo, and Yamaha.
